Stop Warmongering

Right now I am listening to music with my headphone on and preparing for my lecture class. Though we have load shedding and it is quite frequent, I am still happy to be in my home. At least I don’t have to fear anyone, I don’t have to think of impending danger which is going to decide whether or not I will be alive or dead or being dragged in some street tomorrow morning. I don’t have to wonder when there will be barge of bombing, automatic rifles and machine guns blowing my head, I don’t have to worry and keep my eyes fixed on the sky above me for the impending vulture-winged big machines which I have never ever seen in my life before. And, what a surprise!, I got to see it not in a museum, but in the real-time while it is pointing its nozzles towards me to blow me along with my family.

You know what is the biggest fear in life? It’s not about you losing your job, your friend or your most valuable things in your life but it’s about losing your loved one and more fearful is it when you are sure that you are preparing to fight for your life while somebody is approaching to your position to take your life away from you!

I have always abhorred politics and now this dirty politics has again started to show off its nasty might – or may be its most dreaded might. Striking Syria is nothing more than a mere politics! Mr. Assad is sitting on the chair his ass glued. He don’t want to leave it because he might be thinking that he has sacrificed a lot in his life to get to that position and he will better die and leave other die while sticking to his ego and ideology than to just leave the chair just like that.

Honestly, US is trying to get into the war because she thinks she has got moral obligations to do so even though the world is against it – though it is illegal to bomb Syria. It is quite justifiable to some extent. But, don’t you think that mistakes has already been done and it can’t be undone with whatever means whatsoever. You can’t bring back someone who is already dead why not better save those who are still in the wombs of mothers, those who have just started to gain their cognitive ability to know the world as it is, save those who future is uncertain.

It is already too much in Syria! Don’t you guys have quenched your thirst of blood after all these years (above 2 years) of war? Why do you want to drink more blood of innocent children who have no fuckin’ idea about what’s going on around them? If you can’t give life to someone, you have no right to take somebody’s life – and even that of kids? God! You might be insane. Gone out of your mind!

You are all set to take more lives while you have your kids in your house safe-and-sound. Have you ever thought of your own kids before setting for war, before packing your bags to leave for yet another war which will be another history. Dear United States of America, you have already got your hands covered in blood, your image completely soiled by what you do in name of liberating the world. Please stop it! Now, it’s up to your discretion to decide what is right. You have always been known for doing what is right, being right. So, why now you have all set to add one more war to your disgraced history.

I might not have much idea on why you are going into war, why are you all set to bomb more innocent lives. You might be so true to your points of whatever it might be. But,I know one thing for sure that you are definitely going to take more innocent lives doesn’t matter how much protective measures you take.

During second world war, Germans use to believe, “Optimist learn English, pessimist learns Russian language”. Why don’t you want to set one more example by being the same liberator you use to be?

I would better suggest and request all the concerned authorities in US to look at your family and think that others have same family too. They too love their family just like you love yours.

Please take some other alternative measures and put all this to end.

God bless this world! Stop war!

A Letter to Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,

Please kindly accept my humble greeting from a dark corner of my cubical. While I am writing this, my candle seem vacillating, however, it is stills supporting me and I hope it will give me company till I finish writing this letter to you.

We general people of Nepal and your dear compatriots love you so much that we somehow manage to put in forefront in light without giving ourself a chance to blame even though we were in dark and we still are.

As you know, Nepal is such a small country, and having ministers and parliamentary members reaching up to 601 or even more is just like having a representative from every single house of Nepal, though, not literally.   I think, with this much huge number of members would never take years and even a decade to solve this matter, if they would just want to. What I have understood from this political stalemate is that we are enjoying more in protracting the matter than convening and reaching to a mutual consensus in our trivial matters and solving it at least on the humanitarian ground.

We all honestly respect your way of governance, but truth to be told, “It is not still adequate and effective in this crucial juncture”. It seems as if your way of governance and your peremptory power you hold is being taken as if granted, and because of this even our neighboring countries are taking advantage of it.

Nepal television and Kantipur television, for example, put on the threat list of Indian intelligence citing that these two Nepali channels anti-Indian sentiments. I have been watching these two channels since I hold my cognizance, however, I have never ever experienced such thing. Additionally, even Nepal television use to broadcast Indian cinemas every Saturday – which I guess, it is still broadcasting starting from 2 pm – that is not anti-Indian sentiment – this can be considered as even pro-Indian, I guess.

Mr. President, your silence in this matter even bolsters the nonsense fact that those two Nepali channels are actually broadcasting things promoting anti-Indian sentiments. These non-existing things will keep on pilling up along with our own trivial matters which is taking ages before getting settled down in rightful way. And, this will be a very big burden to handle at last which of course should not be happening.

We were so elated to find you as our supreme power to guide as the first president of Democratic Republic of Nepal. But, our feeling of jubilation seems losing its vigor while we are still lingering in dark with 10-hours of load-shedding or even more in the days to come as the winter keeps landing more.

Rather than being just a titular president of Nepal (in another term a ceremonial president), we want you to take a stern step because we are fade up of staying in dark. None of us deserve to stay in dark while being the second largest nation on earth in terms of water resources.

The fire of scarcity has gutted us now, but don’t forget that it will not take long to reach to your door steps. Because, after all we should not forget the universal truth that, “If an injustice is happening to your neighbor and you can see, then wait for your turn, because you are the next”!!

Dear Alchemist,

Dear Paulo Coelho, would it be a nice of me to designate you as “Sir” or would it be a disgrace when I call you “Sir”. I have no idea with what designation I should be recalling you, citing you and adoring you. After much brainstorming, I find myself ending with this short piece of word which sounds to me profound to designate your name with because of what you have left in me with your book, as a reader. But, apart from that bewilderment, I never had to cogitate twice to pronounce your name and I had therefore taken this chance to call you our “Alchemist”.

So, dear Alchemist, I know you don’t know me – that is quite obvious and understandable. You might have millions of readers and thousands of followers or even more who might be just like you or might just want to follow you to achieve at least even a motley of what you have done and achieved so far.

By now, you might have already understood, that I am one of your millions of readers but I am not sure whether I fall in those thousands category who are your followers. I do not say that I am a writer, because writing few words and few paragraph doesn’t make anybody a writer and it would be inane to say that even without starting anything significant. I am not even saying that I am an avid reader, but I can assure at least that I am an avid reader of your books, but a mediocre reader of else.

Out of your all master pieces, “Eleven Minutes” is the one that I read first completely unknown to your image and your contribution in the literary world. Soon after finishing that book, I was already following you and that had left in me an immense impact of your writing ability and your folkloric ability which is found in just countable from those thousands of writer.

Your dictum, your ideas and your philosophy has left me with no choice than to select your another masterpiece and start reading it right away. This book has been proved to be a major turning point in thousands of readers who have taken it literally and now they are something that they had never imagined they will ever be. They have gained power in themselves and enlightenment to achieve the one that use to be thought as impossible.

I have got just one lesson from your this book (THE ALCHEMIST). We should not give up because of fear, and we should not lose our hope for achieving the best. If we want to achieve our dreams, our destination, we must overcome our fear at the first place because just as you said, “Fear of suffering is worse than suffering itself”.

I have no words to say, but to thank you for your masterful and profound enlightenment in real life.
